Nine-year-old Bee Quijada sits in a suburban classroom. During a
history lesson on Rosa Parks, she asks, “Where did Latinos sit on the
bus?” What follows is a theatrical mixtape of Bee’s life. It’s a one-person
show that immerses the audience in elaborate, layered soundscapes by
fusing Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and spoken word poetry.

Gruff and Other Tales, presents a fresh and engaging reimagining of
three cherished children’s stories—Goldilocks and the Three Bears,
The Three Little Pigs, and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The story
follows a brave raccoon and clever mouse who are on a journey to
collect treasure. Along the way, they unknowingly help the goats,
bears, and pigs, preventing disaster—without any of the animals ever
encountering a true villain. adventure that celebrates friendship and
courage.

Person’s Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten, four young
actors dramatize the journey through the orchestra—making each
instrument come alive on stage. The experience includes familiar
classical favorites “as heard on TV” and engaging programmatic
music. Interactive dialogue invites students to connect directly with
the performers, turning the concert into a fun, educational adventure.

This enchanting performance blends Kaki King’s creative guitar
projection mapping, colorful visuals, and modern music with the
wonders of nature, helping young students explore ecology and the
animal kingdom. Through this interactive experience, students will
connect to the performing arts, science (bugs, sugar, healthy eating,
and our connection to nature), and technology (light mapping and
projection design), all while fostering curiosity, awareness, and a love
for the natural world.
