This dynamic workshop designed for performing arts teaching
artists provides a customized experience, exploring artsintegrated learning across the curriculum and digging into the
fundamentals of individual arts disciplines. Wolf Trap Master
Teaching Artist, Christina Farrell, presents a session spotlighting
the role of drama and music in early childhood development.

DISNEY MUSICALS IN SCHOOLS
STUDENT SHARE CELEBRATION

Monday, April 12
The Kravis Center is proud to continue this educational initiative
in affiliation with Disney Theatrical Group called Disney Musicals
in Schools. The main goal of the initiative is to create sustainable
musical theater programs in under-resourced public elementary
schools by providing schools with the training and tools
necessary to do so, and by creating a space for the community to
share their students’ success. Up to four schools will receive a 17week musical theater residency that culminates in a 30-minute
Disney KIDS Musical at each school. Working with professional
teaching artists, a team of faculty from the school will build skills
necessary to produce a musical theater performance featuring
students in grades 3-5. Through this process, students develop
self-confidence, practice collaboration and strengthen speaking
and reading skills while learning musical theater techniques.
The selected schools will participate in a culminating Disney
Musicals in Schools Student Share Celebration on April
12. At this event, each school will share selections from
its production on the Dreyfoos Hall stage for an invited audience
of family, friends and school community members.

CLASSICAL CONCERT SERIES TICKETS
Students can receive up to two free tickets for select Kravis Center
Classical Concert Series performances. Tickets are available for
pickup two hours prior to performance at the Box Office Will Call
window upon presentation of current School/University ID. Limit
two tickets per ID. Free ticket availability may be limited to certain
